Mannheim

Mannheim is located in the southwestern part of Germany. Located at the confluence of the Rhine and the Neckar, Mannheim is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Mannheim is also revered with the name of ‘die quadratestadt’ because of its streets and avenues show a grid like pattern. The famous University of Mannheim was once the home of Prince elector during the eighteenth century- Mannheim Palace. Many renowned corporations also hail from Mannheim like John Deere, IBM, ABB, Caterpillar, Roche, Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever, Siemens and more. A member of UNESCO Creative City Network since 014, Mannheim is declared as a ‘smart city’ because it has electrical grids installed with a Power-line communication network.
