Programs

• ESL Levels 1 – 7 Program

  This program is the most popular and offers 18 hours of instruction per week in basic English language skills from levels 1 to 7. Contents are divided into three main areas that include listening and speaking, reading and vocabulary, and grammar and writing. Each field of study is assigned to a different instructor.
  
  Students who complete Levels 5 to 7 of this program are eligible for admission to one of the partner colleges without the requirement of a TOEFL score.

• Conversation Program

  This program focuses on basic skills such as pronunciation, accent and idiomatic usage along with conversational skills in real-life situations. Levels are divided into intermediate and advanced. The intermediate course focuses on the use of idioms in daily conversation and practical conversation through role plays.
  
  The advanced course will help students hone their English skills at a higher level through presentations, speeches and discussions.

• Business English

  Focusing on the English necessary for business communication, this program is not limited to conversational English but also includes telephone skills, meeting skills, writing skills and many other skills.
  
  This program enables students to learn not only language skills but also the skills essential for working adults in English.

• Vacation English

  This program is recommended for students who want to experience more in Los Angeles. The focus of this program covers the four basic skills of learning English.
  
  On Fridays, students have the opportunity to participate in fun activities and extracurricular activities. Exploring nearby travel spots with schoolmates will help students improve their language skills while creating fond memories.
  Students who are nervous about conversing with people from other countries in regular classes will be able to deepen their interactions while participating in activities together.

• TOEFL® iBT Preparation

  This 4-week program teaches the four skills required for the TOEFL examination, with a schedule designed to help students improve each skill. In the third week, a computer-based simulation will be conducted to simulate the actual situation in a realistic manner.
  
  Students will receive feedback from their instructors and work on learning to achieve their highest score on the TOEFL examination.

• TOEIC® Preparation

  This program allows students to practice all seven parts of the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) test in 10 days. By learning the specifics of TOEIC, students can acquire the English proficiency they eventually require for their jobs.
  
  Designed to allow students to review their own theory with their instructors to ensure a higher score, this program also provides students with the opportunity to learn more in the areas of speaking and writing using the most current instructional materials available.

• GMAT® & GRE® Preparation

  This program prepares students for the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) and GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) tests, which are required for admission to graduate schools abroad and for the MBA program. Each student is provided with his/her own review and practice within 18 hours of class per week.
  
  Students will be prepared for the solution of the test and the language proficiency test required for both examinations. Practice can also be done in a computer-based format that is similar to the actual test method.

• TESOL Certificate

  This program is designed to prepare students who aspire to become teachers of English for the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) exam, and is a 110-hour teacher training program in two months. Students will learn the skills and knowledge required to teach English, how to teach classes and the basics of being an instructor.
  
  Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in the U.S. or its equivalent from outside the U.S. No previous teaching experience is required. No prior teaching experience is required for enrollment but a standard score on the TOEFL or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a prerequisite.

• Intensive

  This course is a combination of two of the above programs and is intended for students who want to take both basic English lessons and conversation classes, as well as Business English and TOEIC preparation.
  
  There will be a total of 36 hours of classes per week.

• Semi-intensive

  This 22-hour per week course offers both the Basic English ESL program and the Conversation & Accent classes. Students will be able to practice what they have learned in the ESL program in the Conversation & Accent class, thereby making the content of their study more personal to them.

• Private lessons

  This course is designed for students to receive individualized private tuition. Additional lessons are also available from as little as 1.5 hours to develop the skills students need to achieve their goals and needs.
  
  With personal one-to-one lessons from an instructor, students can get personalized feedback.
