Atlantic Airways

Atlantic Airways was established in 1987 through a partnership between the autonomous government of the Faroe Islands and a Danish private airline. In 1989, the airline became fully owned by the Faroese government, solidifying its role as the flag carrier of the Faroe Islands.

Headquartered at Vágar Airport, Atlantic Airways operates a fleet of three Airbus A319 aircraft, with plans to add a new Airbus A320 in 2016 to accommodate growing passenger demand. The airline offers not only domestic flights but also regular international services to Europe and Scandinavia. Additionally, it provides charter flights to various destinations and operates helicopter tours, offering unique sightseeing experiences over Nordic islands.
