Cyprus aboard cruise ship
We visited Cyprus last winter during our Caribbean cruise. We bought the ticket for the cruise ship in Beirut. The ticket included seven nights on the ship. The only thing that was not included was a flight ticket from Malaga back to Beirut. We spent two days in Cyprus, mostly on its pristine beaches. It was probably the highlight of our whole cruise -- Cyprus is breath-taking in its beauty. We would have cruised the Caribbean for much longer, and we were sad that the trip from Malaga to Beirut was by plane. However, El Al took excellent care of us. Even though we had a minor mishap on our part (we forgot to print our airfare ticket) everyone at the airport was very nice and helpful.
Aboard Fly Cyprus Airways
We found a cheap vacation deal for Cyprus. It included an airfare ticket, seven nights in a hotel, and a bus ticket from our home town to the airport. Unfortunately, the troubles started long before we arrived in Cyprus when our ticket was cancelled by the ticket company. We had a new ticket issued through Cyprus Airways. We were delayed at Athens Airport due to our plane's technical issues. We did purchase insurance with the airfare ticket, and it covered the night in the airport before we could board the airplane. The airplane was an old one with very limited services. After this experience, we tried to cancel our return ticket from Cyprus and get a new one with the previous company, but we were unable. Once our vacation in Cyprus was over, we flew back to Athens on Cyprus Airways. On this flight we traveled without any problems.
