Danish Air Transport (DAT) is a Danish airline founded in 1989. Initially specializing in air cargo transport, they built a strong reputation by undertaking unique operations, such as transporting live horses and vehicles for the Paris-Dakar Rally. In 1994, DAT expanded into passenger charter flights, and two years later, in 1996, they launched scheduled passenger services. Today, DAT operates scheduled flights between Denmark and Norway, as well as domestic routes within both countries. With "The flexible choice" as their slogan, DAT is dedicated to providing comfortable and convenient air travel.

Danish Air Transport (DAT) prioritizes passenger comfort by focusing on reducing in-flight noise, providing comfortable seats, ample legroom, and ensuring high standards of safety and service. The airline also emphasizes comprehensive cabin crew training to deliver friendly and reliable service, creating a travel experience that passengers can trust and enjoy. This commitment reflects DAT's goal of maintaining both operational excellence and a customer-centric approach throughout its services.
DAT offers three main fare types:
・GOOD: A budget-friendly option with limited flexibility for changes and cancellations.
・BETTER: Offers a balance of affordability and flexibility with more generous baggage allowance and change options.
・FULL FLEX: The most flexible fare, allowing changes and cancellations without penalties and including extra perks like priority boarding.
Besides the base fare, you may encounter these fees:
・Excess baggage fees: For bags exceeding the weight or quantity limits for your fare type.
・Change and cancellation fees: Depending on your fare type.
・Optional service fees: For things like seat selection, in-flight meals, and travel insurance.
DAT primarily offers Economy Class seating on all its flights. Their focus is on providing efficient regional and charter services with a comfortable and straightforward travel experience.
DAT operates a mixed fleet of ATR turboprops (for shorter routes) and Airbus A320/A321 jets (for busier or longer routes). Both aircraft types offer Economy Class seating, with the Airbus models generally providing a bit more space and comfort.
It appears that DAT does not have its own frequent flyer program. However, you may be able to earn miles with a partner airline's program if you are flying on a DAT-operated flight for that partner (e.g., British Airways Executive Club).
You can manage your Ariana Loyalty Club account and track your miles balance online through the Ariana Afghan Airlines website. 1 Look for the "Ariana Loyalty Club" or "Manage My Booking" section on the website. You may also be able to access your account information through the Ariana Afghan Airlines mobile app, if available.
