I was travelling with delta on my return trip from New York and Tokyo. On my return flight, the first trip trip was from New York to detroit, and then from detroit to Narita. We knew the airport could be so busy so we went to the airport three hours and a half before the boarding time. In regardless of the beforehand checkin I made the night before, Just to send the luggage we a long queue, we waited for 1 hour and more, and then after that we went straight to the security check, we waited another 1.5 hour or more, the security and the luggage area was so crowded. Then we got in the gate, and we rushed to the gate, the gate was so far, it was like 15-18 minutes walk from the security gate, when we got there, the gate was closed! they didnt wait for us while our luggage is already sent to detroit! I cant believe this even happen, we were 15 mins before the boarding time, and we were told that the gate will be close 15 minutes before, so we notice and rushed! but the gate closed earlier than 15 mins, then I queue for more than an hour to rearrange both my flights to Tokyo. Also paid an extra 60,000 yen! it was so unfair to us, we had to book a night in the near by hotel. Delta is so bad the service, the staff for the dometic flight was so unfriendly and not helpful. I wont want to travel with you again unless your company send me an apology and also refund my money! Please note, not only me that can no make it to the plane, alot of other travellers were waiting on the queue to relocate them with another flight under their own cost! I think Is very ridiculous that the gate were closed before the allocated time and also without consideration of the security time and check in luggage time were so long that made us missed the fight! overall , I will place bad reviews on all the public media unless I get my refund and apologies!
