Voice of Travelers to Dominica

Experiencing Real Nature

I had done some research about Dominica prior to this trip, but what I read and experienced was very different. After booking my ticket I flew with TIA2000 airlines from Grantley Adams International Airport to Douglas-Charles Airport. It was not a long flight, and the views from plane was spectacular. I enjoyed outdoor activities like hiking the Waitukubuli National Trail. Although it was very hot and humid, It was a great time as I got to see the beautiful nature of Dominica. I cannot wait to go back, in fact, I already have my ticket for my next adventure there!

The Boiling Lake

While I was buying my air ticket to Dominica, a friend recommended I try exploring the mountains. So I went hiking to The Boiling Lake which is in Mourne Trois Pitons National Park. The sole World Heritage site in the eastern Caribbean. I was so excited when I got to the area where "Pirates of Caribbean" was filmed. The tour guide showed me wild bananas and a bunch of unique tropical plants. It was such an adventurous trip.

Picturesque Location

Though people normally get tickets to visit the rain forests, I wanted to explore something different. I visited Soufriere & Scott's Head Marine Reserve. It was ranked one of the top 10 diving locations in the world. The water was clear and beautiful. I saw many people taking pictures under water. A blue bay, colorful fishing boats and peaceful atmosphere. I had never felt this relaxed before. Everyone should visit here at least once in their lifetime.
