East London is a city located on the Eastern Cape province in South Africa. It sits between two rivers; Nahoon and Bufallo rivers. It is the only city that has a river port in South Africa. It has a population of more than 267,000. It is a major industrial center in the province and hosts many manafucturing companies including textile, clothing, pharmacueticals and food processing companies.

Last summer I travelled to East London from Durban International airport on a British Air Comair ticket. This airline offers a cheaper air ticket and I was able to buy the ticket online. The staff handle passengers diligently. East London features many attraction sites. I visited Nahoon beach and it is one of the best beaches I have visited with a scenic view of the ocean, and where you can spot dolphins here and there. I alslo visited Mpongo Park Game Private Reserve which is absolutely fantastic with many animals to watch. I was lucky to see buffaloes, lions, zebras and giraffes at such a close range. I made another stop at East London Aquarium. They have penguins, garnets, pelicans, and I also saw sea-lions, for the first time in my life. This is one the best sites in East London and I would surely recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good time.
A treat of East London
I visited East London in July 2017 as my boyfriend wanted to give me a treat for my birthday. We booked our ticket with Safair airlines at Johannesburg-based O.R. Tambo International Airport, for a direct flight to East London, which is actually the most afforedable ticket to East London. After landing we went straight to Nahoon Estuary Nature Reserve, where we took the Daisy trail boardwalk, which provides a scenic view of extensive mangrove trees and the beatiful bird,Narina trogon. Later, we visited Grazia Fine Food & Wine, a superb restaurant with a spectular sea view. Their food is also fantastic and Italian-influenced. We were served whole pork fillet, stuffed with spinach and mozzarella, which was very tender and tasty. We were also treated to fine red wine that we enjoyed as a cool breeze swept by. It a very good trip for me and I will surely be going back in December to visit other popular places there.
