Voice of Travelers to Funafuti

Airfare ticket to Funafuti

My husband and I have decided to spend our honeymoon in Tuvalu. We lived in Fiji at the time, so we decided to fly to Funafuti atoll. We bought a return ticket with flight from Suva airport to Funafuti airport. The ticket indicated the duration of flight being just over two hours. The flight ticket was purchased online and only two days a week were available . We flew to Funafuti on Monday in order to stay for 10 days. The airplane of Fiji airways was a small one, yet with great service. We wanted to stay in Funafuti longer but unfortunately we could not rebook our return ticket.

Visiting a friend in Funafuti

My friend married in Tuvalu and invited me to visit her at her atoll, Funafuti. I flew from Miami airport to Hawaii, from Hawaii to Fiji and then on to Funafuti. The return ticket for the six lags was quite expensive, and when I decided to change the flight dates later, I could not. I could only cancel the whole ticket. I traveled to Funafuti in April and spent two months in Funafuti and its surrounding area. Funafuti is a true paradise. If I find a cheaper ticket, I will try to visit my friends in Funafuti again next year.
