Corendon Airlines is an airline established in 2004 in the southwestern Turkish city of Antalya to meet the needs of travelers. It was founded by the Corendon Group, which started in 2000 as a travel arrangement company for destinations such as Turkey, Egypt, and Greece. The airline began operations in 2005 with two aircraft, serving 220,000 passengers in its first year. By 2010, Corendon Airlines had exceeded 1 million passengers, operating Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Known as a popular low-cost carrier in Europe, Corendon Airlines faced a challenge: it lacked the rights to operate flights from the Netherlands to other European countries. To address this, the company established a sister airline, Corendon Dutch Airlines, in the Netherlands in 2010, expanding its network across Europe.
In 2014, Corendon Airlines became a member of IATA (International Air Transport Association). In 2015, it became the first Turkish airline to introduce Boeing 737-800 aircraft equipped with Split Scimitar Winglets, a device that reduces fuel consumption.
The airline’s logo, painted on its aircraft, incorporates three colors—red, blue, and yellow—symbolizing the sun, sea, and sand as a new emblem. Today, Corendon Airlines serves approximately 36 routes and about 150 cities. It operates seasonal flights and charter services between Turkey and the Netherlands, as well as to multiple cities across Europe.
Passengers can reserve seats, order meals, and request checked baggage services between six weeks and five hours before departure.
