Lao Airline was founded in 1979 and since then has been operating as the fourth largest airline in China and the flag carrier of Lao PDR. The first traveled route for Lao Airline was from Vietnam to Bangkok. Today the Lao Airlines network extends to twelve international destinations and six locations within the Lao PDR. New routes are planned for the future, including within ASEAN as well as to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.

Lao Airline aims to cater to all its passengers’ needs by offering different types of meals according to special religious, cultural, medical, or dietary needs as follows:

An air ticket to Vientiane, domestic flight, is quite chaotic. But, the onboard experience with Lao Airline is normally very good. This is a very small flight but Lao Airline serves water and a meal. Lao Airline is fairly new and the service is enjoyable and of high quality. On the whole, it was a very good experience and I would endorse the airline.
I traveled firstly from Bangkok to Singapore and the baggage supervisors totally damaged my bag. The next day upon arrival, I immediately e-mailed Lao Airline customer service. The response was speedy and was arranged then and there. They changed my bag so I was able to travel 3 weeks with no bundles. Lao Airport staff were eccentric. I am pleased and the lunchtimes were great.
Flying with Lao Airline on a domestic route is a low-cost air ticket experience, seats were comfortable and the team was very professional. The service was outstanding, free tea, coffee, and water were provided along with a light meal.

Lao Airline has a reward program for frequent flyers. Rewards include air tickets, upgrades, extra baggage and discounts at Muang Thong Hotel in accordance with terms and conditions. Passengers can even upgrade their flights to a higher ticket class. Unused miles earned as a member of the Lao Airline reward program will expire after 3 years, calculated at month’s end.
Passengers traveling domestically with Lao Airline must arrive at the airport no later than 1 hour prior to flight time, after booking an air ticket and receiving a confirmation. For international flights, passengers must ensure that they arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to flight time. All air ticket holders can confirm their personal information and documentation as well as their attendance on a flight via the Internet and can even print their air ticket and boarding passes.
