Lux Air was founded in 1961 to meet the growing demand for air links between Luxembourg and other European cities. Lux Air was registered in Luxembourg. The first Boeing aircraft, a 737–200, joined the Lux Air fleet in 1977. However, information about the first Boeing being a 737-200 in 1977 is contradicted by a source stating the airline had a Boeing 707 in 1970. Lux Air received an award for being the most punctual scheduled operator in London City Airport during 2008 by Flight on Time, based on CAA statistics. In 2011 Lux Air carried 1,302,771 passengers.

In-flight meal

They have won my loyalty
The air ticket from Paris CDG to Luxembourg departed on time and arrived earlier than scheduled. Two wonderful flights providing economy class air ticket carriers can give equal or better service if they choose. Lounges, seats, staff, entertainment were all as close to perfect as it gets. Crews were nice but very friendly and efficient on both legs. Paris to Luxembourg for picking up their game. They have won my loyalty.

May 11th, 2017 Luxembourg to Malpensa. Great service from three flight attendants who handled a medical emergency on board. Behind me, a first class air ticket holder had a seizure and they were calm, listened to my direction (I'm an RN) and were very professional. The staff was incredibly nice and polite. And really very nice and friendly staff. Thank you, Lux Air.
