Spring Japan is a Japanese low-cost carrier (LCC) established through a joint investment by Japanese companies such as JTB and Spring Airlines. Its headquarters are located in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture. While it began operating domestic flights within Japan in August 2014, it expanded to international routes with flights from Narita to Wuhan and Chongqing in February 2016. As of January 2017, it also operates regular flights between Narita and Harbin, as well as Narita and Tianjin.
Spring Japan is often confused with Spring Airlines, the largest LCC in China, but they are separate entities. Spring Japan operates under its own brand name, offering both domestic flights within Japan and international flights to China. They also utilize different aircraft: Spring Airlines operates Airbus A320-200s, while Spring Japan has a fleet of Boeing B737-800s. As separate companies, they have distinct regulations and policies. However, they leverage their affiliation as group companies by allowing reservations for both airlines on their respective websites.
