SriLankan Airlines - Overview
SriLankan Airlines is the national airline of Sri Lanka. The airline is headquartered at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo, which also serves as its main hub. SriLankan Airlines was established in 1979 when the original national carrier, Air Ceylon, was terminated. The airline is currently rated by customers as one of the leading airlines in the world despite only having a three-star Skytrax rating.

Miles are earned based on the ticket class, ticket fare, and distance travelled per air ticket. The miles that are accumulated on the air ticket can be redeemed to upgrade to a higher class on selected flights, and allows access to Sri Lankan Airlines airport lounge, priority baggage handling, extra baggage allowance, special check-in counters at the airport, and more.
