Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) was established in 1991, following Ukraine's independence from the former Soviet Union, and began operations the following year. Based at Boryspil International Airport in Kyiv, UIA operates regular flights connecting Kyiv with domestic destinations such as Odesa along the Black Sea coast, as well as international cities across Western Europe, including Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Rome, Athens, and Helsinki, totaling approximately 30 destinations. Passengers can connect to Kyiv via Helsinki on code-share flights with partner Finnair. UIA was the first airline within the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries, excluding the Baltic States, to introduce Boeing aircraft. Its fleet currently includes 15 Boeing planes, such as the B737-300, B737-400, B737-500, and the newer B737-800 models.
To offer competitive pricing, UIA provides a range of discount services. These include significant discounts of 30–50% for early bookings. Additionally, members of the "Panorama Club" loyalty program can enjoy even more benefits, including special offers and mileage accrual. UIA has also introduced the "Hand Luggage Only Ticket Service," a special fare for passengers traveling with carry-on luggage only, making air travel even more affordable for light packers.
