Virgin Atlantic provides excellent on board service, including quality in-flight meals for passengers. There is also a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from.

Passengers with an Virgin Atlantic Upper Class ticket can enjoy additional luxury by traveling in a seat which converts to a full size flat bed. While Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class is comparable to Business Class in other airlines, Virgin offers various extras you might find normally in First Class to take their Business Class experience to the next level.

Aside from the standard Economy Class, Virgin Atlantic also offers a Premium cabin. Similar to Premium Economy class in other airlines, Virgin Atlantic's Premium cabin offers more legroom and seat space along with other extra amenities for an additional cost.

Virgin Atlantic's mileage and frequent flyer program is called Flying Club, allowing passengers to earn points which can be used to buy tickets and purchase upgrades. Members start with Red tier and can use points to upgrade to Silver and Gold tiers with additional benefits.

Virgin Atlantic is not part of any airline alliance, however they are partnered with Delta, KLM and Air France.

Virgin Atlantic passengers can check-in online to avoid queues at the airport. Online check-in is available at least 24 hours and closes 70 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Passengers who have checked-in online can proceed to drop their bags at the designated bag drop counters at the airport.

Passengers can also check-in personally at Virgin Atlantic check-in counters by presenting their air ticket along with valid travel documents. Passengers who opt to check-in at the airport have to arrive at least 3 hours prior to departure to complete all formalities.
