Aboard Westair Benin

We took a trip with Westair Benin from Congo to Burkina Faso, with a layover in Benin. Our ticket agent suggested we get a transit visa to see the capital of Benin, Cotonou. We have never flown with an African airline, so flying aboard Westair Benin was quite an experience. When we purchased the ticket, we asked for vegetarian meals, and they delivered. Benin is a small country and Cotonou is a rather modern city. We used some public transportation and purchased a ticket for the bus to travel around. We would love to return to Benin again, this time for a longer stay.

Our trip to Benin

We took part in a Peace Corps Program in Benin. The organization took care of a return ticket, accommodation, as well as a visa to Benin. We flew to Benin with Fly Dubai which offered mediocre service. Our accomodations were pleasant, however. After we landed, the organization's representative took us to Benin's capital, Cotonou. We eventually changed the original return ticket from Benin to an onward ticket through Morocco. On our way back from Benin, we stopped over in Casablanca for a few nights. For this reason, we contacted a Moroccan ticket agency, which issued us a ticket with Air Maroc. The flight out of Benin was a pleasant one, as was our entire African experience.
