Cubana de Aviación, Cuba's largest airline, began operations in 1930. Based at José Martí International Airport in Havana, the airline serves domestic routes within Cuba as well as destinations in Europe, Canada, and Latin America. Following the normalization of diplomatic relations with the United States in 2015, Cubana also plans to launch routes to the U.S.
Cubana operates domestic flights connecting key Cuban cities, from Pinar del Río in the north to Guantánamo in the south. The airline also offers affordable tickets to other Latin American destinations, such as Cancún and Buenos Aires, making it an ideal choice for backpackers exploring Latin America.
