Travel FAQs

Q. How can I get a good photo of the leaning tower of Pisa?

A. You will need to read the terms and conditions for your plane ticket carefully. Most plane tickets bought with major carriers do allow date changes, but if you have an economy ticket there may be charges for this. A ticket bought in business class probably will not require you to pay for a date change. Of course you may still need to pay the difference in price between the dates. Most tickets with budget airlines do not allow date change.

Q. Should I buy my child a ticket to Pisa?

A. Many of Pisa's attractions are museums, old churches and art galleries, so these may not be suitable for younger children. For children a little bit older they may really enjoy Pisa's iconic Leaning Tower. Pisa is mostly safe and friendly, so you need not worry too much about safety when buying a child ticket.

Q. I would like to see a festival while in Pisa. What month should I book my ticket for?

A. For festivals June would be the best month to buy a flight ticket to visit Pisa. On 16th June Pisa celebrates the Luminara Festival where thousands of candles are lit across the city at sunset. This is followed by a fireworks display. On the last Sunday of June Pisa celebrates Gioco del Ponte, a fun festival with a big procession of floats and where two teams try to 'conquer' the main bridge of Pisa.
