St. Petersburg

Saint Petersburg is Russia's second largest city after Moscow, with an estimate of 5 million inhabitants. Saint Petersburg is situated on the middle taiga lowlands along the shores of the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland. Saint Petersburg is colder in winter and warmer in summer. This is because of its more eastern location.

The best area for a tourist to stay in is generally considered to be near the Nevsky Prospekt Metro. Indeed, one of the nicest hotels in the city (Evropa) is right there.
