A layover in Santo Domingo with a ticket to Havana
I traveled on an onward ticket from Mexico through Santo Domingo to Havana. My ticket agent recommended the layover in Santo Domingo. I have never visited Santo Domingo before. This onward ticket through Santo Domingo was a bit expensive, but the transportation and hotel in Santo Domingo were actually included in the price of the ticket. I purchased the ticket with Aeromexico. Once aboard, I was surprised by great service, including a meal. When I landed in Santo Domingo, a taxi was waiting for me to take me downtown Santo Domingo. Santo Domingo is a great city. I enjoyed my visit of Santo Domingo even more than my stay in Havana. I am happy that I wasn't counting money when I decided for this airfare ticket which allowed me to discover Santo Domingo.
Visiting Santo Domingo on vacation
While living in Haiti, we decided to book a ticket and fly to Santo Domingo for a week. The ticket we purchased was a return ticket and with found it at one of the ticket portals. We purchased the ticket about two weeks before the flight. Even though the ticket was purchased online, we were able to book a hotel in Santo Domingo to go with it as well. The airlines were Air Caraibes and they provided great service on board. If we find a cheap ticket, we would like to go to Santo Domingo again in the summer.
