Jamaica by cruise ship
We visited Jamaica last winter during our cruise on a Caribbean cruise ship. We bought the ticket for the cruise ship in Miami. The ticket included seven nights on the ship. The only thing that was not included was a flight ticket from Cancun back to Miami. We spent two days in Jamaica, mostly on its pristine beaches. It was probably the highlight of the whole cruise, as Jamaica is very beautiful. We would have gladly stayed in the Caribbean for much longer, and we were rather sad that the trip from Cancun to the States was by plane. However, American Airlines took very good care of us. Even though we forgot to print our airline ticket, everyone at the airport was very nice and helpful.
Aboard Fly Jamaica Airways
We found a cheap vacation deal which included an airfare ticket, seven nights in a hotel, as well as a bus ticket from our home town to the airport. The troubles started long before we arrived in Jamaica, with our ticket being cancelled by the ticket company. We had a new ticket issued through Fly Jamaica Airways. We were delayed at Toronto Airport due to technical issues with the plane. Because we bought insurance when we got our airline tickets, the unexpected night at the airport was covered – and then we boarded the plane again in the morning. The airplane was an old one with very poor services. After this experience, we tried to cancel our return ticket and get a new one with a different company, but we couldn't. Once our vacation in Jamaica was over, we flew back to Toronto, this time without any issues.
