Merida

Merida is a city in Mexico. Merida is the capital and largest city of the Mexican state of Yucatan. The city's focal point is plaza de la independencia. Merida city is located in the Northwest part of the state, 35 kilometers from Gulf of Mexico Coast. According to the year 2010 census, the population of Merida was 970377 inhabitants. The Merida city occupies an area of approximately 858.41 square kilometers. Merida city was founded in the year 1542.

My sister asked me to accompany her to Merida and I could not refuse. She was to cater for my ticket and other expenses. She just wanted to go and explore Merida city.
