United Airlines charges for checked baggage in Economy Class on domestic flights and some routes such as to Mexico. Fees can vary but are often $30 for the first checked baggage of up to 23kg/50lbs when booked online for most routes. Checked luggage is free for Premium Economy Class (up to 23kg/50lbs). For domestic and other flights around North/South America, United Airlines' carry-on baggage policy only allows for Basic Economy Class passengers to bring one personal item with dimensions of 22 x 25 x 43 cm. For most other flights such as longer international flights and for Business/First Class passengers, you are allowed one personal item and one piece of larger carry-on luggage. Dimensions for carry-on luggage should be 22 x 35 x 56cm.
The weight limit for carry-on baggage with United is often 11kg/25lbs but is not enforced for most routes as long as the baggage fits within the dimensions.

United Airlines offers air ticket options offer in-flight service ranging from the height of luxury to comfortable economical travel experiences. For the three most costly air ticket levels, many aircraft carriers offer a seat that reclines into a fully flat bed, and on international flights, multi-course meals are served, complete with elegant table linens and pre-flight beverage service. Seats are equipped with personal audio and video LCD screens, and individual power and charging stations for electronic devices.
United Airlines Economy Class levels usually offer comfortable seating, and music and movies are available for entertainment on longer flights. On shorter flights snack items are available for purchase and on longer international flights, complementary meals are provided.
United Airlines also offers a Premium Economy Class for most routes, with slightly larger seats and a number of other benefits for an added cost.
United Airlines' new business class is known as Polaris and offers an updated business class experience with additional benefits. Not all flight routes currently offer the full Polaris Business Class, so make sure to check before booking tickets with United. United Polaris business class is definitely much improved compared to the older business class seats and is often touted as one of the best business class experiences you can get.
United Airlines uses Terminal C for their main domestic terminal at Houston (George Bush Intercontinental Airport IAH) but some United flights may also use Terminals A, B, D and E. Make sure to check on your United Airlines ticket which terminal your flight is departing from.
The MileagePlus program allows you to use your mileage points to purchase air tickets for flights on any Star Alliance airlines. Mileage points can also be used with Star Alliance partners for hotel accommodations, car rentals, cruise tickets, and rail services.
United Airlines usually release deals on tickets a few days before Black Friday. Just make sure to keep checking fares from one to three days before to see if the prices for your flight with United drops considerably.
