There's even a photo app which will transform you into a kabuki actor. Best of all it's all free. If you're looking for some traditional-themed souvenirs however, there's also a gift shop.

While most airport gift shops tend to increase prices up to five times the price it's worth, Narita is actually great for picking up some last minute gifts. Most offerings actually come at the same prices you'll find in the city, sometimes with extras you could never get there. It's great for people passing through who want to indulge on some of the most popular Japanese snacks, but also perfect for those who don't want to add extra luggage for gifts and souvenirs until the very last minute. Some ideas to consider are the huge range of Kit Kat flavors or the popular Tokyo Banana gift box.

Tucked away in the basement of Terminal 2 and on the fifth floor of Terminal 1 you'll find a huge line of 'gatcha machines'. These little toy vending machines are great for using spare change that would otherwise just go to waste. Pop in a few hundred yen coins and you'll get a capsule with a toy inside. It's generally a surprise and up to chance as to which toy you'll get, however that's all part of the fun. The machines usually display the range of toys that are inside each machine.

You'll find telescopes too, perfect for getting a glimpse of those in the distance. Terminal 1's is located on the fifth floor whereas you'll find the observation deck at the fourth floor in Terminal 2.
