Affectionately known as "Tanigumi-san" by the locals, this temple is the final stop on the Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage, attracting many visitors. As the oldest Kannon pilgrimage site in Japan and the final stop on the route, it is considered a spiritual power spot where visitors pray for the fulfillment of their wishes. The temple has a history spanning over 1,200 years and is said to have received its temple name and mountain name, "Tanigumi-san," from Emperor Daigo. The name originates from a legend that oil seeped from the rocks in the area.

One of the unique features of Tanigumi-san Kegon-ji is its three Goshuin seals. It is known as a place where visitors can receive three different Goshuin, each representing the present, past, and future. Additionally, two bronze carp statues stand by the main hall’s pillars. 2. See the self-mummified Buddha: Ryōkaizan Yokokura-ji

Nicknamed the "Shōsō-in of Mino," Ryōkaizan Yokokura-ji is a must-visit spot in Ibigawa. It houses many significant cultural treasures, including the Yakushi Nyorai (Medicine Buddha) statue, rare agarwood carvings, and numerous precious wooden Buddhist statues and paintings.
