This course aims to gain skills in speaking, reading, writing, listening and vocabulary, and to develop a strong foundation in English grammar.
This is a 5 level program offered at Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels.
Each level takes 12 weeks to complete and end-of-term tests are conducted every four weeks.

By learning General English, students will have more opportunities to pursue higher education, find employment, travel and meet friends from all over the world.
Real English

This course is ideal for those who are considering higher education or employment abroad.
Specially designed for students who want to explore the wider world, do further studies or find a job.

Students will feel more confident and secure in their communication in English with others, especially if they are looking for strong practical communication skills and want to improve presentation skills for use in the workplace.

This course also focuses on clear, easily-understood pronunciation and on developing interpersonal skills to showcase their individuality.

This 3-level program is offered at Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels. Each level takes 12 weeks to complete.
Students are given end-of-term tests every four weeks.
IELTS Preparation

The IELTS Preparation course is designed for students who want to familiarize themselves with each component of the IELTS test and become test-ready. This course is also perfect for students who want to focus on improving academic literacy or who want a more intensive course than General English.

AT CTIC students are prepared for both the Academic Module (AC) or General Training (GT) Module of the test, and each student receives individual support and advice according to their needs.
To join this course students need an English level of at least Intermediate or IELTS Band 5 and they can study for as little as 4 weeks or as long as 20 weeks, depending on their goals.

The Academic Manager at CTIC can assess the English skills of students and advise them on an appropriate individualized study plan, and their progress will be carefully monitored.
Students are given end-of-term tests every four weeks – this is a full mock test day which is designed to replicate the real exam day experience.
Cambridge English (First: FCE, Advanced: CAE)

The Cambridge English course is designed for students who wish to acquire the language and test-taking skills necessary to undertake the Cambridge test. Cambridge qualifications are recognized by more than 20,000 universities and governments around the world, and having a Cambridge English certificate gives you a variety of opportunities as it is a very prestigious qualification to possess.
This course is also a perfect option for those students who are not even planning to sit the test but who would like to have a real challenge in English learning.

This is a 2-level program offered at First (FCE) and Advanced (CAE) levels.
Each level takes 12 weeks to complete. CTIC instructors have meticulously created the syllabus to incorporate all four language skills and knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.

Students are given end-of term-tests every four weeks and weekly mock tests in individual test components.
English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

The EAP course is designed to prepare students for study in any English-speaking institution where academic literacy in English is required, such as a college/university or VET (Vocational Education and Training) College.

Skills developed in this course include listening and note-taking, paraphrasing and summarizing, seminar presentation and discussion skills, analysis of the features of academic writing, university-level vocabulary, the development of efficient research techniques, and essay writing.

Students who wish to use an EAP certificate to articulate to one of CTIC's partner institutions will need to complete the full 12-week course and pass all assessments, but CTIC also welcome students who want to study academic English for a shorter period to become aware of the differences between using English in everyday social situations and interacting professionally in more formal situations.

Students need to be ready for Upper Intermediate level to join the class and may be aiming for an IELTS Band score equivalent of 5.5 but CTIC also caters for students who need to achieve a Band 6 - 6.5+.

The language skills and study techniques learned in EAP will also help in the preparation for international English proficiency examinations, such as IELTS or PTE (Pearson Test of English) because EAP focuses on improving students' ability to cognitively engage with what they hear or read and on building critical thinking skills.
