2. Extensive Support Before Study Abroad Program

Curious World Academy provides an extensive pre-departure preparation service in hopes that students will have as meaningful a time as possible during their study abroad experience.

After registration, students will take a level test, followed by a counseling session with a counselor. From there, teaching materials and programs are developed and instructors are selected.

Students can also learn basic English grammar through video clips, which will give them a minimum foundation for learning English before leaving their home country for their study abroad program.

3. Safe Environment for Learning

Curious World Academy is located in the safe Mandaue area where there is a shopping mall, Insular Square, on the school's premises.
Everything from shopping to classes and accommodations can be done on the same site.

The campus is designed and constructed entirely by Japanese designers and the accommodations are equipped with bidet toilets, a rarity in the Philippines.

  This course provides a well-balanced study of the 4 basic skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
  Based on the results of a level assessment test conducted prior to arriving at the school, a customized program will be created to suit the level of the student's English ability. This course is also recommended for those who are not confident in their English ability.
  
  The four timetables available include the Light Course with 3 one-to-one lessons, the Standard Course with 4 one-to-one lessons and 2 group lessons, the Intensive Course with 6 one-to-one lessons and 1 group lesson, and the Super Intensive Course with 7 one-to-one lessons, with the option of adding 1 free special lesson (pronunciation, Zumba, Yoga, BBC News, TED Talk).

• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Course

  This course is intended to strengthen the 4 basic English skills required for the IELTS exam and to improve scores efficiently.
  Recommended for students who aim to achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 or 7.0 or higher in order to enter an overseas college or university, to study abroad as an exchange student, or to obtain a score for permanent residency in a foreign country.

• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Course

  This course is designed to strengthen the 4 basic English skills required for the TOEFL exam and to improve scores effectively.
  Recommended for students aiming for TOEFL scores in the 70s, 80s and above, with the goal of obtaining scores to enter an overseas college or university, study abroad as an exchange student, or study abroad through an inter-university agreement.

  This course is aimed at helping students acquire the 4 basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in order to pass the test.

Area Features

Curious World Academy is located in the safe and accessible area of Mandaue, Cebu.
The center of Cebu City is approximately 15 minutes away by taxi and is easily accessible even during weekdays.

On weekends, students can visit the historical sites in the city or go a little further afield to Oslob, where swimming with whale sharks is available, or try island hopping.
