1. A thoroughly English-immersive Environment
At Cebu International Academy (CIA), the English Only Police (EOP) patrol the premises ensuring that even among native speakers, English is the required language for communication. If any other language is used, a fine of 5 pesos will be imposed, thus creating an environment where one is inevitably compelled to speak English. The collected funds are used for volunteer activities.
2. Free Night Classes
CIA offers free night classes from 7:00PM to 8:30PM after dinner. These classes are available on a two-week basis for short term students or those who wish to participate more in class. Classes are divided by level, such as Grammar and Speech and offers a variety of options to participate.
3. Abundant Extracurricular Activities
Spending all day in class can lead to fatigue, but CIA offers a variety of activities for students to refresh themselves. Yoga classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays, Zumba classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and parties are also held regularly. Participating in these activities not only helps in refreshing but also provides opportunities to make new friends!

ESL (English as a Second Language) Program
This program is a general English study program. The class structure consists of a daily test before class, one-on-one lessons to improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a balanced manner, small, medium and large group lessons, and native English classes.
The course is divided into three sections, Regular ESL (4 lessons), Intensive ESL (5 lessons) and Power Intensive ESL (6 lessons), depending on the number of one-to-one lessons in the total of 8 lessons excluding self-study time.
In the Regular ESL course, two of the one-to-one lessons can be changed to a Working Holiday Optional Class for students who wish to study abroad in two countries after studying in the Philippines or go on a Working Holiday to Australia.

TOEIC Program
This program is designed for students who wish to take the TOEIC exam. The class structure consists of a total of 8 lessons, 4 of which are one-to-one lessons and 4 of which are small and large group lessons.
There is a Pre-TOEIC course for students who have scored below 400 on the entrance test, a TOEIC Regular course for students who have scored above 400 and wish to improve their score and a TOEIC Guarantee course that guarantees a score after 12 consecutive weeks of study.
Each course requires students to take a practice test periodically (every 1 to 2 weeks). -
IELTS Program
This program is designed for students who are preparing to take the IELTS exam, and like the TOEIC program, the class structure consists of 4 one-to-one lessons and 4 small and large group lessons out of a total of 8 sessions.
There is a Pre-IELTS course for students with an entrance test score of less than 3.5, an IELTS Regular course for students with a score of 3.5 or higher and an IELTS Guarantee course that guarantees a score after 12 consecutive weeks of study.
Each course requires students to take a practice test periodically (every 1 to 2 weeks). -
Business Program
This is a Business English program. The curriculum consists of 5 individualized one-to-one lessons and 3 small and medium group lessons out of 8 classes in total.
It is an intensive English course with a different curriculum and class time distribution compared to the General ESL Course, where one-to-one lessons are 5 classes and group lessons are 3 classes, with the aim of improving the four main language skills.
Textbooks specially designed for Business English are used to prepare students for a variety of business scenarios.

Area Features
CIA is located on Mactan Island, where the airport and many resort facilities are conveniently located. Away from the hustle and bustle of Cebu City, CIA is located one street off the main road, so the noise and exhaust fumes from the road will not be a concern at all.
