CDW is included as standard and covers the excess amount (out-of-pocket cost) you would otherwise bear in the event of an accident. Separately, the Non-Operation Charge (NOC), which applies when the vehicle cannot be used for business due to an accident, is handled apart from CDW and is approximately ¥20,000 if the vehicle is still drivable or approximately ¥50,000 if it is not. Some plans also offer additional paid options, such as coverage that waives the NOC. If you wish to extend or return the car early after pickup, please contact the store you are using directly. Whether this is possible, and any additional fees or refunds, vary by rental car company, store, and plan. If your plans are likely to change, we recommend contacting the store as early as possible.
