Inside Taipei 101 is the Taipei 101 Shopping Mall. Located on the basement level is a food court offering cuisines from around the world, so you can indulge in your favorite dishes. In addition, there is a large imported supermarket where you can pick up souvenir snacks.

On the first floor, you’ll find the Apple Store and various brand shops—perfect for picking up an iPhone case or other commemorative items from your trip to Taipei. The second floor hosts shops like ZARA and boutiques that feature Taiwanese designer products. The third floor is home to high-end luxury brands such as GUCCI and Cartier, with a wide array of watches on display that are worth exploring.

The fourth floor houses stores such as BVLGARI and Dior, as well as establishments where you can enjoy afternoon tea. On the fifth floor, you’ll find souvenir shops selling Taiwan’s famous pineapple cakes, alongside restaurants and cafés. Once you’re on the shopping floor, you can purchase everything from the latest fashion to unique souvenirs—and if you need a break, there are cafés to relax in.

Inside Taipei 101, one highly recommended restaurant is Xin Ye 101 Food Art Restaurant (欣葉101食藝軒), located on the 85th floor. This upscale restaurant serves exquisite Taiwanese cuisine. Note that reservations are required in advance. As of April 2019, their course menus for lunch are priced at NT$1,080 and NT$1,380, while dinner courses are available at NT$1,800, NT$2,800, and NT$3,800. On the 35th floor of Taipei 101, there is a Starbucks Coffee outlet. Please note that entry is by reservation only, so be sure to call ahead (Phone: 02-8101-0701). Reservations are accepted from one week up to the day before your visit. You cannot simply walk in on the day, so please gather at the designated meeting point. Staff will accompany you to the 35th floor, and note that there is a 90-minute time limit for your visit. Their Alishan Oolong Tea (priced at NT$180 as of April 2019) is a unique offering available only in Taiwan. 5. New Year’s Eve Countdown Fireworks at Taipei 101

Taipei is famous for its New Year’s Eve countdown fireworks. As the clock strikes midnight from December 31 to January 1, Taipei 101 becomes the focal point for a spectacular fireworks display. On this day, the area gets extremely crowded and it’s nearly impossible to hail a taxi, so it’s best to use public transportation. Be prepared to wait outside for an extended period, so consider bringing snacks and drinks. Arriving early to secure a good spot is highly recommended. One of the best viewing spots is Xiangshan (Elephant Mountain), which offers a panoramic view of Taipei—ideal for watching the fireworks. The nearest MRT station is Xiangshan Station on the Tamsui-Xinyi Line.
