2. Cheng Yi Chemical Materials (MERU COSMETIC) Taiyuan Flagship Store

Located in the wholesale district behind Taipei Main Station, Cheng Yi Chemical Materials Taiyuan Flagship Store is the shop for the Taiwanese cosmetic brand MERU COSMETIC. Unlike ordinary cosmetic shops, MERU COSMETIC is more like a wholesale store where you can choose various cosmetic ingredients.
As the name suggests, the store originally specialized in cosmetic raw materials. It launched its brand after gaining media attention during the DIY cosmetic boom in Taiwan over a decade ago. Although relatively new, it has become a popular brand thanks to its quality and affordable prices. Their most popular item is an anti-aging product called GHK-CU Essence.

3. LSY Lin Sanyi

Next up is LSY Lin Sanyi, a slightly different kind of cosmetic shop. It’s a makeup brush store that’s very popular among Taiwanese women.

Today, they offer a wide range of brushes, including multi-brushes, face brushes, and cheek brushes. 4. Gang Hao

Gang Hao, located about a 3-minute walk from MRT Zhongshan Station, is a shop dedicated to natural foods and cosmetics. The name “剛好” means “just right” in Chinese, reflecting a lifestyle in harmony with nature.
This shop specializes in natural cosmetics and food products made from local Taiwanese ingredients and fruits. They even sell soaps and creams made from fruits! Representative products include Fruit Hand & Foot Cream (水果手足霜), Enzyme Powder (酵素粉), Milk Face Wash (牛奶潔顏乳), and Mud Body Soap (沐浴泥). These are made from local Taiwanese lemons, papayas, milk, and hot spring mud.
