Facility guide to Yokohama Strawberry Park
Yokohama Strawberry Park features five different facilities where you can fully enjoy the charm of strawberries.
Here, we’ll introduce every highlight so you can make the most of each one.
STRAWBERRY FARM
STRAWBERRY FARM is the main attraction at Yokohama Strawberry Park and offers strawberry picking year-round.
The secret to year-round picking lies in electricity.
The strawberry houses are fully electrified and use electric power to meticulously control temperature and humidity.
This makes it possible to grow delicious strawberries throughout all four seasons, 365 days a year.
At Strawberry Farm, you can taste seasonal strawberries from varieties such as "Tochiotome," "Yotsuboshi," "UC Albion," and "Akihime," depending on the time of year.
Which variety you'll be able to enjoy is a surprise on the day, adding to the fun of possibly tasting a new kind each time you visit.
PARK SIDE KITCHEN (Temporarily Closed as of May 2022)
PARK SIDE KITCHEN is a buffet restaurant located within Tokyo Strawberry Park.
Inside the restaurant, you’ll find an abundance of Italian cuisine using seasonal vegetables and ingredients, such as pizza, pasta, salad, and gratin.
A particular highlight is the dessert corner, featuring two chocolate fountains.
In addition to strawberry-based sweets, a wide array of other desserts such as seasonal fruit punch and waffles are also available.
At Park Side Kitchen, you can enjoy authentic dishes crafted by the chefs until you're completely full.
On weekends and holidays, special menu items are served, so visiting on those days is especially recommended.
ICHIGO LAB. (Temporarily Closed as of May 2022)
ICHIGO LAB. is a café based on the concept of a "laboratory to study the appeal and deliciousness of strawberries."
Research conducted by in-house researchers has found that the ingredient that best brings out the flavor and charm of strawberries is "cacao."
Here, you can enjoy unique desserts that highlight the perfect match between strawberries and chocolate.
The menu changes with the seasons, and includes items like parfaits and drinks made with strawberries and chocolate.
It's a great stop not only for those who love sweets but also for when you get a little hungry while exploring the park.
Berry good shop (Temporarily Closed as of May 2022)
Berry good shop is a pop-up shop themed around strawberries.
It offers plenty of exclusive items, such as adorable strawberry-themed goods and sweets that can only be found here.
The shop interior is decorated in strawberry-like pink wallpaper and flooring.
The cute merchandise and décor are sure to delight you just by browsing.
STUDiO SWiTCH (Temporarily Closed as of May 2022)
STUDiO SWiTCH is a kitchen studio where you can try making strawberry-themed treats.
The cooking activities are simple and include things like cutting out shapes from pre-made cookie dough and adding toppings.
Even children or those not confident in cooking can easily enjoy the experience.
The finished cookies can be taken home as souvenirs or given as gifts.
It’s a great activity to try with family or a partner.
Summary
At Yokohama Strawberry Park, the highlight is of course the strawberry picking, but there’s also much more—eating, seeing, touching—allowing you to experience the charm of strawberries from various angles.
It’s a theme park that can be enjoyed with family, a romantic partner, or friends.
If you’re looking for a place near Yokohama to go strawberry picking, definitely consider visiting Tokyo Strawberry Park.
