Enjoy Famous Cheese Fondue and White Bread in Heidi's Village

Within the facilities of Heidi’s Village in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, several cafes and restaurants invite visitors to enjoy a delightful meal. Among the most popular offerings are the signature Swiss cheese fondue and the fluffy white bread, both of which are must-try local specialties.
At Restaurant Volcano, guests can indulge in a rich and flavorful cheese fondue made with authentic Swiss Gruyère and Emmental cheeses. This dish has become a fan favorite for its addictive taste and smooth, creamy texture. The cheese fondue is available for a minimum of two people per order. In addition to fondue, the restaurant also serves pasta, omelets, and kid-friendly meals, making it ideal for both families and couples. The restaurant is open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the last order at 4:30 PM. Please note: from 3:00 PM, only drinks and light snacks are served.
Don’t miss the iconic white bread that appears in the beloved anime series. Many visitors are drawn to try this nostalgic treat. At Dorfli Village Bakery, you’ll find a faithful recreation of the anime’s white bread—soft, freshly baked, and the most popular item in the shop. While it makes a great souvenir, it’s even better enjoyed fresh at the terrace seating area, especially on sunny days. Alongside white bread, the bakery also offers bagels, pies, and a wide variety of baked goods, all made daily. The bakery operates from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Try the Segway Experience

If you want to explore large facilities in a fun and efficient way, riding a Segway is highly recommended. Available to guests aged 16 and older (with guardian supervision required for those under 20) and weighing between 45kg and 118kg, the Segway offers a smooth and thrilling ride across scenic grounds.
You can choose from two plans from the Trial Course (Training Only): ¥1,200 and the Guided Tour Course (With Instructor After Training): ¥3,400.

Rides are available daily, except during bad weather. Sessions start between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, and pre-registration on-site is required. So, don’t forget to arrive early to secure your spot.
Enjoy the refreshing breeze and natural surroundings as you glide through the grounds on a Segway. For your comfort and safety, please wear clothes that allow easy movement.

• Approx. 15 minutes from Nirasaki IC and 10 minutes from Sudama IC on the Chuo Expressway.
• Free parking is available on-site.
【By Train】
• From JR Chuo Line Nirasaki Station, it's about a 20-minute taxi ride.
• From the first Saturday of April to November 23, the Kayagatake-Mizugaki Rural Bus operates daily, arriving in around 30 minutes.
