Popular tourist spot for girls in Fukushima! Introducing “Licca-chan Castle”
First, transform yourself with the “Dress-up Rental”!
At the dress-up rental, you can borrow dresses for free that allow you to transform into Licca-chan (women only). Becoming Licca-chan is a dream for many girls, isn’t it? Sizes range from 80cm to 160cm, so both children and adults can fully transform into Licca-chan and explore Licca-chan Castle.
The fluffy, cute dresses can be worn over your clothes, so you can easily transform into Licca-chan in an instant. Dress up as Licca-chan and take lots of photos at Licca-chan Castle. Also, when you enter the lobby, a life-size Welcome Licca-chan greets you, so don’t forget to take a commemorative photo! Please note that shoes and accessories are not available for rent.
Explore “Licca-chan’s Room”!
Licca-chan Castle is filled with many photo spots. Among them, Licca-chan’s room on the 2nd floor of the castle, unified in pink, is a very popular photo spot. The chairs, tables, vanity, and accessories are all coordinated in Licca-chan’s favorite pink color.
Wear the dress-up costume and take photos sitting on a chair, holding the phone, or flipping through a book in Licca-chan’s room to fully immerse yourself as Licca-chan! In addition to enjoying the atmosphere and photo opportunities, you can even chat with Licca-chan on the phone. There are also hidden secrets in places like the bookshelf, so be sure to explore the room thoroughly.
Tour the “Doll Factory”!

The “Doll Factory” is an area where you can observe the factory on the 1st floor, where Licca-chan and Jenny dolls are made, from the 2nd floor. Photography is prohibited here, but witnessing the handcrafting process—something rarely seen—is an unforgettable experience. Panels depicting the steps of doll-making are also installed, so by combining the factory tour with the panel information, you can deepen your knowledge about Licca-chan even more!
Meet historical Licca-chan Dolls at the “Licca-chan Museum”!
The current Licca-chan is the 4th generation, but here you can see every generation of Licca-chan, from the very first to the current 4th generation, displayed along with the changing eras. Historical backgrounds are also introduced, so adults will feel their hearts leap with the nostalgia of their childhood. Young children will enjoy discovering the differences between the Licca-chan dolls of the past and the present for the first time.
In addition to Licca-chan herself, there are also real Licca-chan houses and diorama sets. You can also meet Jenny-chan, Licca-chan’s friends, and her family. Spending time here might make you want to play house and relive your childhood together with your children. On the 1st floor, there is even a corner where you can enjoy playing house, so be sure to stop by with your kids. In the Moving Licca-chan area, Licca-chan herself moves and explains the exhibits, so take a moment to listen.
Take a break at Apple Garden!

Spreading out with the castle as a backdrop is the Apple Garden, which looks like a French garden. It’s a space far removed from daily life, as if you’ve wandered into a wonderland. Depending on the season, you can enjoy the flowers and trees, and you can also stroll through the garden in a dress-up costume.
When your feet are tired, you can rest on a bench in the garden. There is also an Apple Garden Café inside the garden, so be sure to stop by at least once. You can buy soft serve ice cream, waffles, and drinks to enjoy in the garden.
As the name Apple Garden suggests, apple trees from Fukushima Prefecture are planted here as a symbol, and during apple season, the apples are sometimes sold at the café. Enjoy a moment that feels like you’ve time-traveled to France, the hometown of Licca-chan’s father.
The Licca-chan shop also offers original goods!

On the 1st floor is the Licca-chan Shop, filled with items irresistible for Licca-chan fans, including many products exclusive to Licca-chan Castle. Here you can find accessories, dresses, and even original Licca-chan and friends dolls that cannot be purchased anywhere else.
The shop also carries snacks and other food items, including the popular Kitakata Ramen and Shirakawa Ramen. You can get Licca-chan goods for your children or yourself, and snacks or food for friends and colleagues as souvenirs, so you can shop with ease.
