As this is one of the most valuable spots of Dubrovnik, it's always quite busy, but still well worth traveling there to see.

War Photo Limited is a very touching sightseeing in Dubrovnik that is however worth to visit. This museum is totally filled with works and pictures telling about the cruelest attitude of people towards each other during the war. It includes exhibitions and introductions to the history of the time. This sightseeing is one of the highlights of Dubrovnik.

6. Mount Srd

Mount Srd towers over the city of Dubrovnik, perfect for those who want an incredible view of the surrounding scenery. There are a number of enjoyable walks along the trails around here that'll give you stunning views. It takes about an hour to get to the top but is well worth the effort. At the top you'll get amazing scenery of Dubrovnik city that make for some gorgeous photo opportunities. If you're not up for the walking, it's also easily reachable by the cable car which regularly travels up to the summit.

7. Sveti Jakov Beach

One of the most beautiful beaches along Croatia's Mediterranean coast, Sveti Jakov Beach is perfect for those wanting to soak in the summer sun. Not only are the waters clear and beautiful, you'll also get a stunning view of the old town and the city walls from the beach. The beach is quite popular so if you want to arrive when less people are there, then make sure to visit in the morning.

8. Onophrian Fountain

One of the most iconic structures in the old town of Dubrovnik, the Onophrian Foundtain features some beautiful architecture, built around 600 years ago. The fountain has a number of complex designs adorning its facade along with the 16 streams that pour out of it. The water is actually drinkable and visitors are permitted to take a sip from here.


A city full of history and one of Europe's most beautiful old towns, Dubrovnik is an unmissable destination for those wanting to see all that this incredible country has to offer. Like much of Croatia's coastal towns, the weather here is pleasant throughout the summer and doesn't get too hot, perfect for enjoying the beautiful beaches located around here without getting badly sun-burnt.
