1. Takahashi Farm Niseko Milk Kobo

At Takahashi Farm Niseko Milk Kobo, you can enjoy carefully crafted sweets made from freshly squeezed milk collected in the morning. From soft-serve ice cream to cream puffs, roll cakes, and castella sponge cakes, the selection is filled with treats that children love—and adults will surely be satisfied too! The sweets are made with minimal additives, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for kids.

Inside the facility, there is a restaurant and a café where you can relax and enjoy a meal at your own pace. There is also a glass bead workshop where you can experience handmade crafting! Additionally, Niseko no Mori, a nature craft shop, offers a variety of warm, wooden handicrafts that make perfect souvenirs.

One of the highlights is the stunning view of Mt. Yotei, a symbolic mountain of Niseko. In summer, a field of sunflowers blooms across the area, making it an ideal time to visit. The facility has a parking lot for easy car access, and it is only a 10-minute drive from JR Niseko Station, making taxis a convenient option as well.

2. Niseko Outdoor Center

At Niseko Outdoor Center, families can take on a variety of outdoor activities together. One of the main attractions is a canoe touring course that flows down the lower section of the Shiribetsu River. While the course is designed to be authentic and adventurous, certified guides provide support, making it safe even for beginners. Children are welcome to participate, and there are also advanced courses for experienced adults looking for a challenge.

Besides canoeing, the center offers trekking and fishing courses. If it happens to rain, there are plenty of indoor activities available as well. You can try making candles, jam, or accessories—each a unique and memorable keepsake from your trip. In the winter, special seasonal experiences are available, such as snowshoe nature tours, nature skiing, and even igloo-building workshops, modeled after the Inuit dwellings in the Arctic. These are unique experiences that can only be found in Niseko, so be sure to participate with your children!

3. Niseko Hanazono Resort

Niseko Hanazono Resort is home to Hanafuwa, a fun-filled play area that is extremely popular with children. It features three play structures: Spider Web, Pao Pao Jungle, and Hanafuwa. Each is available for timed play sessions, ensuring kids can make the most of their time. Among them, Hanafuwa is particularly suited for younger children, providing a safe and enjoyable experience.

For those seeking a more thrilling adventure, the resort also offers activities like rafting and sea kayaking. There are family discounts available, making it a great opportunity for parents and kids to take on challenges together. Additionally, at certain times of the year, special courses are available for children as young as 3 or 4 years old, allowing them to experience exciting outdoor activities with their parents.

4. Country Inn Milky House

The Country Inn Milky House is an accommodation facility that offers a variety of experience-based activities. From trekking and mountain cycling to indoor activities such as vegetable cooking and ice cream-making workshops, guests can enjoy fun experiences regardless of the weather.

Each flight lasts approximately five minutes, reaching about 30 meters above the ground, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Niseko mountain range. The hot air balloon rides operate twice daily—once in the early morning and again in the evening. Advance reservations are required. The season for these flights runs from around June to September, making it a perfect activity for summer visitors.

For those with small children or a fear of heights, the balloon is equipped with clear panels, allowing them to enjoy the view comfortably. However, flights may be canceled due to weather conditions, so it is advisable to check in advance.

Located at the foot of Mt. Yotei, the Niseko 2nd Arishima Ostrich Farm is a popular spot for families, offering a unique experience where visitors can feed ostriches. These magnificent birds, standing over 2 meters tall, can be observed up close. Surprisingly friendly, the ostriches will eagerly approach when they see food, creating an exciting and memorable experience for children.

The farm also features a café and a confectionery workshop that uses ostrich eggs. The Ostrich Dorayaki Sandwich is a must-try treat, and there are also other specialty products like rich pudding, ostrich eggs, and sausages available for purchase—perfect as souvenirs.
