Kanyoujima Park, located on the main island of Sukumo City that continues to the mainland, is a famous tourist spot for its stunning sunsets (see the top image). At low tide, when the seawater recedes and a path is exposed, you can walk from Kanyoujima Park to Kanyoujima. Kanyoujima is a pair of uninhabited islands, and from mid-November to early February, many tourists come to see the “Daruma Sunset.” About a 5-minute drive from the park, there is a national guest house where you can enjoy a bath with a view.
Inside the park, the "Kanyoujima Park Campground" is available, equipped with showers and toilets, making it a great spot for summer leisure. You are allowed to bring in your own food and equipment. The park also features playgrounds, grassy areas, and sandpits where children can play freely.

4. "Sasayama"
Sasayama, a tourist spot in Sukumo City, Kochi Prefecture, is a mountain known for its beautiful azalea blooms and stands at 1,065 meters at the border of Kochi and Ehime Prefectures. You can drive up to the 8th station of Sasayama, park your car there, and begin your hike from that point. From the parking lot, you can see Shirataki Falls, and the view inspires you as you start your hike.
The hiking trail is well-maintained, and you can reach the summit in about one hour.
