It's conveniently located for access to places like Odate City, Takanosu, Appi Kogen, Lake Towada, Tamagawa Onsen, and western Aomori Prefecture.
Since 2020, flights between Tokyo (Haneda) and this airport have increased to three round trips per day, making the airport more convenient than ever.

Because it's also a Roadside Station, the airport stays lively even during times with no flight arrivals or departures. Inside the terminal, you'll find the restaurant "Port One", café "Piccolo", and the "ANA FESTA" gift shop, offering more options than most regional airports for spending time while waiting for your flight.
