Busan’s Busiest Shopping District! 4 Recommended Shopping Spots in Nampo-dong
1. Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch
Opened in 2009, this is the only department store in Nampo-dong and the first seaside department store in Korea. In 2010, an annex was added, and in 2014, a hotel was completed, making the area even livelier. The department store features a 21-meter-tall indoor fountain and a rooftop observatory that offers panoramic views of the port and city. It has become a landmark of Nampo-dong and is directly connected to Nampo Station for easy access.
With a wide range of offerings from international brands, cosmetics, fashion accessories, a spa and fitness club, to a restaurant floor, shoppers can thoroughly enjoy themselves. The latest trends are clearly on display. The rooftop has an outdoor park with grass and playground equipment, as well as a “Love Lock” corner for couples, making it a great date spot. Plans were made to turn it into “Lotte Town” in 2017. Visit the department store in Nampo-dong for a fulfilling shopping experience!
2. Gukje Market
With five major streets including “Lighting Street” and “Market Street,” and narrow alleys crisscrossing the area, this massive market spans 7,500 pyeong (approx. 24,800 m²). Now a representative market of Busan, it is a must-visit for tourists exploring Nampo-dong. It earned its name “Gukje Market” or “International Market” from the days when it sold many imported goods arriving at the port from overseas.
There are about 1,200 shops lined up, including clothing stores, accessories, and cosmetics stores, attracting a growing number of young shoppers. In addition to established stores, the street vendors are also a highlight, offering Korean street food like kimbap. Make it a part of your Nampo-dong itinerary and experience a piece of Busan’s local culture!

3. Y's Park
Y’s Park is a shopping spot that opened in March 2014 right in the heart of Nampo-dong, lined with trendy shops. Built around the concept of “You can fully enjoy Busan right here!”, this multi-complex facility has everything from gourmet dining to shopping across its 1st to 8th floors, including the Aventree Hotel. One of its main attractions is that it provides almost everything a tourist might need.
Inside, you'll find B&C Bakery, Sulbing Café, general goods shops, women’s fashion stores, and dining floors, with stores that reflect Busan’s local flavor. You can enjoy both sightseeing and shopping all in one place. Be sure to visit and indulge in Busan’s trends while experiencing top-level shopping.

4. B&C Street Okkori
To close the list, here’s a must-visit shopping spot in Nampo-dong especially for women. From original Korean brands to street vendors, both sides of this street are lined with countless fashion stores. While it doesn't have an official name, guidebooks often refer to it as “Fashion Street.” It’s commonly called “B&C Street” because of the long-standing local bakery “B&C Bakery” located at its entrance.
Most shops cater to young women and sell everything fashion-related from clothes and shoes to cosmetics and lingerie. Naturally, you’ll also find many Korean-brand stores! It’s worth checking out the latest Nampo-dong fashion trends just by window shopping. With food stalls scattered along the street, eating while you shop can be a fun part of the experience.
