Visa-Free Travel to South Korea Continues Beyond November 2022!

South Korea has decided to continue visa-free travel beyond November 2022. Although a visa is not required, applying for K-ETA and registering with Q-CODE remain necessary, so please be attentive.

Good News! K-ETA Not Required Until December 31, 2024!

From April 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024, K-ETA is temporarily exempted. Therefore, until December 31, 2024, you can travel to South Korea with just your passport. However, having K-ETA offers the advantage of not needing to fill out customs declaration forms.

How to Apply for K-ETA?

K-ETA can be applied for via the official website, which is accessible from smartphones. As detailed in the video above, you need to apply at least 24 hours before departure (preferably more than 72 hours in advance). The fee is 10,000 KRW (approximately 1,000 yen, payable by credit card only).
Note: While there are Japanese-language proxy services available, it's recommended to apply directly through the official English or Korean website to avoid potential issues with additional fees.
