[Okinawa / Miyagi Island] “Kafu Banta” – A Hidden Scenic Power Spot for Happiness!

How to Get to Cape Kaabou Banta & Parking Information

To reach Kaabou Banta from Naha Airport, it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes by car via the Okinawa Expressway (Okinawa Kita IC) and Kaichu Road. The drive along the coastal road is scenic and refreshing! Parking is available for up to 49 regular vehicles.

By Bus

The nearest bus stop is Miyagi Junior High School Mae on the Ikei-ya-Keina Line, but it still requires a 20-minute walk. If you're coming from Naha Bus Terminal, take bus number 27, 52, 80, 127, or 227 and get off at JA Yonashiro Bus Stop. From there, transfer to the Ikei Kyodo Baiten-mae-bound bus, which takes 36 minutes to reach Miyagi Junior High School Mae. The fare is 200 yen (as of March 2021). Buses run 6 to 7 times a day, so it's best to check the schedule in advance.

Since the bus stop is quite far, a rental car or a taxi from Yakena Bus Terminal would be a more convenient option.

The History of Kabou Banta is Surprisingly New

One might assume that this spot has existed for a long time, but surprisingly, the name was only given recently—on March 30, 2011. However, it wasn’t named arbitrarily. With "Mitin Uza" (三天御座) and "Ryujin Fudo" (龍神風道) located nearby, the area possesses enough characteristics to be considered a power spot. This salt production company has made these three power spots publicly accessible under the name "Nuchi Una" (命御庭). This area is known as "Hanari-dake," a place where energy is said to be concentrated.

It is located on the premises of the Nuchi-Masu Tourist Salt Factory, which produces Okinawa’s famous sea salt, Nuchi-Masu, a popular souvenir.

What are Mitin Uza and Ryujin Fudo?

Mitin Uza (三天御座) refers to "Three Heavens," representing the deities of the sky, earth, and sea. It is considered a sacred place where these three divine entities gather. Though invisible to the eye, just hearing the name gives a strong sense of concentrated power.

Ryujin Fudo: A Power Spot Discovered in 2009

Located on Hanari-dake, "Ryujin Fudo" was discovered by a Shinto priest in 2009 and is believed to be a location where energy is strongly concentrated. It is the most powerful site within the premises, attracting numerous visitors from across Japan and even overseas, seeking to benefit from its energy.

Sky Ticket Tourist Guide to Okinawa's Power Spots

Okinawa is home to numerous power spots. If you ever feel like you’re lacking energy, visiting other power spots might be a good idea.

Visit the Salt Factory Located on the Same Premises as Kafu Banta

At the "Nuchi-Masu Tourist Salt Factory," which shares the same premises as "Kafu Banta," you can observe the process of making salt using seawater from Okinawa. The salt looks just like snow! At the factory, you can learn about salt while listening to explanations from the staff. This "Nuchi-Masu" salt is produced using the "Room Temperature Instant Aerial Crystallization Salt Production Method," making it gentle for everyone, from babies to the elderly. Every step of the production process is carefully managed. Of course, you can also purchase salt and related goods directly from the factory.

How about receiving a "goen" (a play on words combining “salt” and “connection”) as part of your Okinawa power spot tour?

Make the Most of Power Spots

We have introduced you to Kafu Banta, a hidden power spot in Okinawa. Its history is relatively new, but when it comes to the energy of power spots, history doesn’t always matter. However, relying too much on power spots is not advisable. Never forget that the one who can truly solve your problems is you.
