Hanto-kan sells crafts and food products from the southern region of Hokkaido. It is located on the second floor of the domestic terminal building at Hakodate Airport.
The products in the shop are developed in collaboration with local manufacturers and are true Hakodate souvenirs. Examples include the “International Signal Bag,” made using fabric from a long-established dyeing shop dating back to the Meiji period, and items featuring the “Ika Uroko Mon” (squid scale pattern), a design combining squid and scale motifs that are famous in Hakodate. These items are limited editions.
