Vietnam’s Beach Resort! 5 Recommended Tourist Spots in Da Nang

1. My Khe Beach

Crossing the Son Han Bridge, a Da Nang landmark, you’ll quickly reach My Khe Beach in the heart of the city. Chosen as one of the “6 Most Enchanting Beaches in the World” by the American edition of Forbes due to its beauty, this beach offers amenities such as paid beach umbrellas, chairs, and showers. Nearby, there are mud hot springs where you can refresh yourself after swimming.

During the day, the sand can become too hot to walk on barefoot, so it is popular to relax under the umbrellas and enjoy the sea breeze. As the day cools in the evening, locals and visitors alike flock to the beach, and even at night the area remains lively with local youth.

2. Five Elements Mountain

Also known as Marble Mountain due to the entire mountain being made of marble, Five Elements Mountain is named after the five elements—metal, wood, water, fire, and earth—that constitute the universe. It is also known as a power spot in Vietnam.

Inside the mountain, many cave temples exude a mysterious atmosphere, drawing numerous worshippers from across the country. Although the mountain features many steep stairs, those with sufficient stamina are encouraged to climb to the top where you can enjoy panoramic views of the South China Sea.

3. Dragon Bridge

Opened in 2013 and hailed as Da Nang’s new landmark, the Dragon Bridge is a 666-meter-long suspension bridge designed with a yellow dragon motif, connecting My Khe Beach and the city center.

Its appeal lies not only in its sheer size but also in the different atmospheres it offers during the day and at night. Every evening, 15,000 LED bulbs illuminate the bridge, and on weekends a show is held where flames or water spurting from the dragon’s mouth draws cheers from the crowd.

4. Linh Ung Temple

Linh Ung Temple is famous for its massive white statue of Kannon (Guanyin), also known as “Lady Buddha.” Standing at 67 meters, this is the largest white statue of Kannon in Vietnam. When illuminated at night, the temple offers a different ambiance from daytime. While it is widely known as a power spot for tourists, many locals are seen earnestly praying in the Main Hall, creating a solemn atmosphere.

Additionally, the view from just beyond the Kannon statue is breathtaking. With excellent visibility of Da Nang’s cityscape and beaches, on clear days you can also see the sunset and, at night, the illuminated city lights and the glow of fishing boats on the sea create a magical scene.

5. Bana Hills

Located on the outskirts of Da Nang, Bana Hills is a theme park modeled after a medieval French town. Situated at an elevation of 1,487 meters, the park remains cool even in summer, making it an ideal summer retreat. Within the park, you will ride the world’s longest cable car, measuring 5,571 meters and even registered by Guinness World Records. Enjoy the expansive natural scenery on the journey.

Once inside the park, you’ll find stylish Western-style buildings, a flower garden, and a wine cellar. The indoor amusement park offers attractions for families, including a small Ferris wheel, go-karts, and interactive video attractions. With a wide range of restaurants and hotels available, it is a destination where you can easily spend an entire day.
