Abeno Harukas is Japan’s tallest building, a proud landmark of Osaka, and packed with fun attractions!

1. The Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store has everything you could want

Located inside Abeno Harukas, the “Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store” is a large department store operated by the Kintetsu Group. The store is divided into two buildings: the Tower Building and the Wing Building. The Tower Building has floors from B2 to the 14th floor, offering groceries, cosmetics, women’s and men’s clothing, interior goods, and restaurants.

The Wing Building has floors from B2 to the 9th floor, offering shoes, sporting goods, travel items, toys, and event spaces. With such a wide range of products, it’s the perfect place for shopping in Abeno Harukas. On the rooftop, you’ll find the Harukas Wing Garden and Abeno Harukas Farm (a rooftop rental garden).

2. Plenty of restaurants inside the building—yes, they have kushikatsu too!

Restaurants in Abeno Harukas offer a wide variety of cuisines, including Japanese, Western, Chinese, ethnic, restaurant bars, buffets, and cafés. One top recommendation is “Kushinobo,” a kushikatsu specialty shop that originated in Hozenji, Osaka. Founded in 1950, it serves seasonal ingredients deep-fried on skewers.

When visiting Osaka, kushikatsu is a must-try. The “Omakase Kushikatsu Course” is also recommended, offering 16 carefully selected skewers. Be sure to savor authentic kushikatsu while you’re here. Some shops even offer takeout, so you can enjoy it leisurely back at your hotel.

3. See Osaka from above at Harukas 300 (Observation Deck)

The Harukas 300 observation deck is located on the 58th to 60th floors, with the 60th floor offering a sweeping view of Osaka from a height of 300 meters. Parts of the floor have glass beneath your feet, giving you a thrilling sky-walk experience. For a fee, you can also have a commemorative photo taken—perfect for capturing your trip’s memories.

On the 59th floor, you can find a souvenir shop selling Abeno Harukas character “Abeno Bear” goods, keychains, pens, and sweets. The 58th floor has a stylish café & bar and an open-air garden, providing a relaxing, open space.

Tickets for Harukas 300 can be purchased at the ticket counter on the 16th floor of Abeno Harukas. Sometimes the view may be obscured by cloudy weather; in such cases, the “Harukas 300 1-Day Ticket” is recommended. This ticket allows unlimited entry for the day, so you can go up when the weather clears for the best view.

4. Enjoy contemporary art at the Abeno Harukas Art Museum

The Abeno Harukas Art Museum is located on the 16th floor. To get there, use the shuttle elevators from B1 or the 2nd floor. The museum holds a variety of exhibitions, such as contemporary art, Winnie the Pooh exhibitions, and Caravaggio exhibitions. Admission fees vary depending on the exhibition, so check the official website in advance. After enjoying the art, visit the museum shop for exclusive items available only here.

5. If you’re staying overnight, try the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel at Abeno Harukas

The Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel is located inside Abeno Harukas. A highlight is the spectacular view from guest rooms on the 38th floor and above. The Imperial Suite offers a view from 258 meters high, along with a romantic nightscape. Even the standard regular-floor rooms have large, open windows for a relaxing stay. It’s a perfect place to unwind before continuing your sightseeing the next day.

◎ Lastly: For access, get off at Tennoji Station

From Umeda Station or Namba Station, take the Midosuji Subway Line and get off at “Tennoji Station.” It takes about 15 minutes from Umeda and about 6 minutes from Namba. Visiting Umeda or Namba after sightseeing at Abeno Harukas also works well as a travel plan. When you visit Abeno Harukas, be sure to enjoy the view from the observation deck.
