1. Komatsu Udon Konjaku

Komatsu Udon was loved by the haiku poet Matsuo Basho. It has a long history, said to have begun in 1689. The underground water of the sacred Mt. Hakusan produces noodles with a firm texture and creates an excellent broth made with local soy sauce.

Among them, “Komatsu Udon Konjaku” is especially recommended as a souvenir. Made with carefully selected domestic wheat flour, salt from the Noto Peninsula, and pure water from Mt. Hakusan, it’s a premium udon with a smooth texture and excellent firmness. Its thin, pleasantly chewy noodles are easy to enjoy. Why not take home this specialty unique to Komatsu City?

2. Tsukiyomi Yamaji

Matsubaya Main Store, a long-established confectionery shop dating back to the Edo period, offers “Tsukiyomi Yamaji” as its signature souvenir product. This chestnut steamed yokan combines the subtle aroma of bamboo with kudzu starch, giving the sweet bean paste a uniquely firm texture.

Inside the yokan are large, tender chestnuts with a refined, toasty sweetness. Made with carefully selected ingredients using traditional methods, this wagashi exudes elegance. It makes a perfect souvenir.

3. Kanazawa Ono Vegetable Miso Soup

An excellent souvenir certified by the “Kanazawa Food Souvenir Project,” the “Vegetable Miso Soup” uses vegetables grown in Ishikawa Prefecture and miso aged in natural wooden barrels. This combination gives the instant soup a surprisingly rich, authentic flavor.

Its deep taste comes from meticulously selected ingredients that bring out the natural flavors of the vegetables. Available in three varieties—tomato, Nakajimana greens, and ginger—and also sold as a three-pack set. Simply add hot water for an elegant bowl of miso soup, making it a delightful gift. You can find it at the ANA FESTA departure lobby store in Komatsu Airport.

4. Enpachi Ankoro Mochi

Founded in 1737, Enpachi is a long-established confectioner with a rich history. Its signature sweet, “Ankoro Mochi,” is a gem made with plenty of Hokkaido red beans, while the mochi itself is crafted from Kagura-mochi rice produced in Ishikawa Prefecture.

The smooth texture of the red bean paste and the soft chewiness of the mochi create a perfect match. With its refined sweetness, it’s a treat you’ll want to eat again and again. Crafted by skilled artisans, this traditional confection is an excellent souvenir. It’s available at the Komatsu Airport Hokuriku Air Terminal Building shop.
