Two-Colored Seas and a Pink Beach! 4 Must-Visit Spots in North Eleuthera
1. Glass Window Bridge

Located on Eleuthera’s only main road, the Glass Window Bridge is seemingly ordinary just 50 meters long. However, on either side of it lies a miraculous contrast of natural beauty. The bridge spans not water, but a narrow strip of rock that connects land like a thin thread.
On one side of this slender ridge is the deep, navy Atlantic Ocean, and on the other, the turquoise Caribbean Sea. This striking contrast is due to differences in sea depth and surface levels on each side. It’s not just a beautiful ocean view—being able to witness two distinct shades of blue at once is a rare and magical experience, even globally.
2. Spanish Wells
Spanish Wells is a small island located off the northwestern tip of Eleuthera. Measuring about 600 meters wide and 3 kilometers long, it is home to around 1,500 people. Access is only by boat, and since there are no regular ferry services, you must arrange private transport through local travel agencies in advance. The harbor is lined with yachts and boats, offering a truly relaxing resort vibe. Popular for snorkeling and diving, the island is a haven for marine enthusiasts. Due to its narrow roads, golf carts are the main form of transport. Restaurants, bars, and accommodations are also well established, letting you enjoy a carefree tropical getaway.

3. Ben Bay Beach
Look closely at a map of Eleuthera and you’ll notice a beautiful fan-shaped cove near its northern tip. This crescent-shaped beach with shallow, pale blue-green waters looks like something straight out of a Caribbean travel brochure. Located off the main tourist route, it’s quiet and largely undeveloped, offering serenity and natural beauty. While off-road vehicles can reach near the entrance, it’s better to park nearby and walk the last few hundred meters. Once you arrive, enjoy playing in the water or simply soaking in the view. It’s a hidden paradise untouched by development.

4. Harbour Island
Harbour Island is a narrow island east of North Eleuthera Airport. Its central town, Dunmore Town, has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to Spanish Wells. The island’s east coast is home to one of Eleuthera’s most unique attractions: the Pink Sand Beach. True to its name, the beach’s sand is rosy pink, becoming even more ethereal during sunrise and sunset. The pink hue comes from the shells of microscopic organisms called foraminifera, which also play a role in coral reef formation, similar to the "star sand." Stretching for about 5 kilometers, the sand stays cool, allowing you to walk barefoot from end to end. You can even ride horses along the shore, a popular activity here.
