3. Istana Nurul Iman

Located about a 40-minute walk from the city center, the royal palace Istana Nurul Iman is one of the largest palaces in the world, built to commemorate Brunei’s independence. It is said to be a symbol of Brunei’s wealth, containing as many as 1,788 rooms.
