1. Perur Patteeswarar Temple
Perur Patteeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple located near the Noyyal River in Coimbatore city.
At this temple, the Hindu god Shiva—who is regarded as the deity of destruction and regeneration—is worshipped. Enter through the distinctive pagoda-like gateway adorned with colorful and detailed decorations. One of the highlights is the sculpture called "Kanagasabai" carved in the hall.
Also, every March, a grand festival called Pangni Utiram is held. It is recommended to plan your Coimbatore sightseeing to coincide with this festival.
2. Marudhamalai Temple

Marudhamalai Temple is a Hindu temple built on a small hill, located approximately a 20-minute drive from the center of Coimbatore city.
This temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan. Lord Murugan, the son of Shiva, is revered in Hinduism as the god of unparalleled strength among children. He is also considered a god of the hills, which explains why Marudhamalai Temple is set at such a high elevation.
While many temples in India might not appear very clean, Marudhamalai Temple is well-maintained so that visitors can enjoy it comfortably.
Although some physical effort is required to reach the pagoda, the view from the hilltop allows you to overlook the entire Coimbatore city. This is a must-visit spot when touring Coimbatore.
