5. Hanagokoro Otaru Branch
Near the Otaru Canal stands a refined building housing the izakaya “Hanagokoro.” Fittingly so, as the building is the former Yasuda Bank, which is a designated historic structure by the city of Otaru. The grand atmosphere of the bank era still lingers within the izakaya. In the center of the restaurant, a large cherry blossom tree is placed in the open atrium space, allowing guests to enjoy food and drinks while gazing at the blossoms.
